List of unrefined sweeteners:
Dry sweeteners:

  • Cane sugar (unrefined sugarcane or refined without using animal bones)
  • Beet sugar
  • Date sugar
  • Stevia powder (can also be found in whole leaf or liquid form)
Liquid sweeteners:
  • 100% Fruit juice concentrate
  • Agave nectar
  • Barley malt syrup
  • Brown rice syrup
  • Molasses
  • Maple syrup (free of animal products)
  • Date Syrup
  • Honey substitutes
Dairy substitutes:

As in texture, taste, and appearance wise, when cooked a certain way
  • Seitan (wheat gluten)

  • Imitation/mock meats (Such brands as Gardenburger, Yves Veggie Cuisine, Lightlife, Morningstar Farms, Boca Burger, Amy's & Tofurky)
